**Responsibilities**:
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and the internship period. Duties may include:

- Collaborate in the construction and cleaning of databases.
- Gathering, assessing, and analyzing data.
- Review literature and research topics related to environmental sustainability, climate change and/or digitalization and education from a gender perspective.
- Collaborate in the drafting of documents or research.
- Attend coordination meetings with the ECLAC team and other meetings related to gender topics.

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

(b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- For this internship, studies in the area of Economic science are desirable.

Work Experience

For this internship, experience in gender affairs is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

For this internship, Fluency in Spanish is required. Knowledge of English is desirable. Knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.

NOTE: “Fluency” equals a rating of ''fluent'' in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ¨knowledge of¨ equals a rating of ''confident'' in two of the four areas.
