- **Global Manager Minerals Characterization**, your purpose is to lead the prioritization, assessment and development of innovation opportunities in the resources characterization domain to create material value and unlock the resources of tomorrow by rethinking the way we mine.- Building a vision for the minerals characterization of tomorrow, translated into a multi-generational transformation roadmap
- Adopting a system thinking lens aimed at identifying opportunities that will unlock resources across the value chain and maximising synergies such that the initiatives may be configured to achieve transformational innovation
- Leading agile technical teams to provide the necessary guidance to test and progress new initiatives
- Developing derisking strategies leveraging analytical and physical approaches to mature initiatives
- Defining the product vision, business case, value proposition and use cases for both customer-centric and moon-shot initiatives, testing and refining these with internal and external stakeholders
- Developing detailed technology/product development plans to be executed across each stage of the innovation process, ensuring internal and external collaborators are clear on the steps required to progress initiatives
- Accountability for the productivity and success of initiatives within value chain focus area
- Collaborating across the value chain to identify synergies and broader initiatives beyond your domain
- Guiding and overseeing testing and pilot efforts
- About You-
- A relevant Graduate degree
- Advanced expertise in minerals characterization and resources development, with broad experience in geology, geochemistry, geophysics, geometallurgy
- Experience managing technology and product development processes, including the ability to develop a multi-generational product roadmap for implementation and determine minimum viable features
- Proven ability to prioritise products and initiatives against numerous variables and priorities to ensure a balanced portfolio
- In-depth knowledge or experience in adopting Agile processes and principles, and the scientific approach of lean start-up methodologies to shorten product development timelines
- Relevant project management experience, particularly in overseeing the coordination of testing and pilots across diverse teams
- Proven ability to build and drive relationships and work collaboratively within diverse teams, particularly with technical stakeholders
- A deep understanding of the resources sector, with experience working in a mining organisation
- Multi commodity experience is a plus
