**Basic Qualifications**:
**Education**:Bachelor Degree or equivalent education
**Experience**:5 years of progressively responsible job-related technical sales experience **.**
**Behaviors**:Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and influence others in the workgroup, dealer personnel, and customers
**Language**:Advanced English
Previous Experience with Caterpillar Products, Machines.
Experience with Caterpillar Dealers.
Experience with Mining Customers.
**Job Duties**:
As a Mining Industry Representative, you will consult with dealers to market Caterpillar products and services and assist in the development of dealer sales capability. You will be a sales liaison among dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel. This role is for an experienced, individual contributor where assignments are complex and challenging, and lend themselves to strategic decisions. You will be accountable for the identification, analysis, and resolution of needs and problems in the assigned industry. Challenges include developing and meeting expectations in delivering results, identifying and recommending alternative courses of action, making timely decisions, and developing greater communication skills. Direct work with other Caterpillar units, customers, and possibly suppliers requires demonstrating skill in negotiation, building consensus, and achieving compromise. You will be responsible for Chile, Peru, and Argentina territories.
What you will do:
- Performs complex analysis work, and identifies and resolves problems that are more strategic in nature.
- Counsels dealers in developing increased human performance capability.
- Guides on existing and potential customer sales issues and improvement measures within one industry.
- Assists dealers with the forecast, sales/rental/used strategy planning, and sales techniques.
- Supports rollout of new products (e.g., products, parts, customer service agreements, other service products).
- Analyzes and communicates marketplace and competitive activity to Caterpillar personnel and dealers.
- Assists dealers with business planning within one industry.
- Creates and promotes programs that increase sales while maximizing price realization.
- Continues to develop the required proficiency level in the specified foundation competencies and skills
