Annex 21 Training Post Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme. While undergoing training they will be paid a percentage of the top of the band, and upon completion they will move on to the Band 7 scale. The Role The Advanced Practitioners will work autonomously across Primary, Community and Acute Services during the in‑ and out‑of‑hours periods, covering seven days including public holidays. They will be responsible for clinical decision‑making for the population, including assessment and treatment of patients in the Primary, Community and Acute settings. The Advanced Practitioners will work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT)/medical staff including the OOH Hub and Acute Services, communicating daily about any patient seen overnight or over the weekend who needs to be followed up by the GP or Acute Services during normal working hours. They provide assessment, clinical care and management of both stable and acutely unwell patients and their families, making complex, autonomous decisions using advanced skills and knowledge. They hold overall responsibility for the assessment of care needs and for the delivery of advanced care. Medical telehealth/telephone support will be available when required from an identified source. What we’ll need you to bring Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC Registration. Educated to or working towards a Master’s level. Post‑Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice and expertise within a speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safely, effectively and efficiently. Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality. Advanced specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice, ensuring that the level of expertise can be utilised to deliver leadership within the speciality. Evidence of application of advanced practice skills in the speciality and applying clinical judgement. Evidence of further developed knowledge and experience in management and/or leadership. Further education or evidence of continuous professional development in the area of speciality including study days, courses, post‑graduate qualification. Excellent team‑working and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative. Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time‑management skills. Working knowledge of basic information technology. A driving licence is required – a full UK/EU/EEA licence. It would be great if you also have Non‑Medical Prescribing qualification. ALS Provider / Instructor. MSc in Advanced Practice. Post‑graduate expertise within a speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safely, effectively and efficiently. Experience working with critically ill/high‑acuity patients. Evidence of working at Charge Nurse / Senior Charge Nurse level. Experience delivering education / training. Ability to demonstrate understanding of quality improvement, research and audit. Evidence of advanced clinical skills (NIV/ ECG interpretation / ABG, etc.). Location and Working Pattern This role will be based in the ANP team within University Hospital Hairmyres. The working pattern is variable – it includes weekends, evenings and public holidays.
