WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER:

The Finance Assistant provides administrative finance and accounting support for the Southern Andes Business Unit.

They provide a variety of accounting-related tasks including registering and payment of invoices, payroll processing, preparation and processing of accounting forms such as journal entries, verifying the accuracy and coding of journal entry transactions, maintenance of A/P, general ledger and vendor payments, and similar tasks.

Responsibilities include coordinating with local accountants in the correct and timely processing of payroll, preparing and processing Miscellaneous Bank Entries (MBEs), preparing cash receipts, coordinating, controlling and processing provider payment requests, as well as analyzing bank statements and preparing reconcilements.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field and 12 years' related work experience or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in database management or producing reports, or in the use of automated systems or touch key calculator.
  • Experience working with basic principles in accounting or in analysing financial figures
  • Bilingual Spanish/English abilities are preferred (working level of reading and writing in English is needed).


 DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy in work product.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to work independently but also function well as part of a team.
