ROLE DESCRIPTION


The Customer Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for customer facing activities to promote Tate & Lyle's ingredients and solutions to food and beverage manufactures, being a key player on the execution of our growth strategy for the Andean Region.

He/she will work in close collaboration with teams including Category Leaders, Commercial, Technical Service, Nutrition and Regulatory.


In this role, he/she will be responsible for a defined list of customers and will lead all Marketing related activities to deliver relevant insights for product innovation and demonstrate T&L's solutions and capabilities.

He/she will be devoted on monitoring trends and presenting analysis to help customers through their innovation journey and will also lead the execution of our Design Thinking program (Healthink) with targeted customers.


The Customer Marketing Coordinator will oversee the planning and execution of T&L's presence at tradeshows in the food industry, increasing our brand recognition and supporting new business development.


To succeed in this position, he/she should be a curious person and be able to communicate well ideas, analysis, and insights to positively impact the relationship with our customers generating value to them.

Understanding industry dynamics, consumer behavior and being able to connect dots with our offers will be essential to deliver a high-level work and build up our image as a solution partner.


KEY RESPONSABILITIES

  • Lead innovation days, presentations, and events with targeted customers to support innovation and new business development.
  • Lead Marketing activities for a defined customers base in key categories: Dairy, Beverages, Bakery and SSD (Soups, Sauces, and Dressings) in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina.
  • Build Marketing to Marketing engagement with customers to bring sales opportunities and support commercial teams.
  • Lead Design Thinking workshops with customers for ideation on new products, supporting T&L's Healthink program evolution with enhancements and updates.
  • Monitor market drivers, customers activities and consumer trends to present data driven analysis and insights to support new product creation and prototype demonstrations.
  • Deeply understand T&L's proprietary researches and thirdparty market analysis including new product launch databases, sales tracking, consumer behavior and preferences, ingredient analysis, among others.
  • Understand and be up to date on T&L's ingredient and solutions portfolio, its benefits and strengths, along with the nutrition and regulatory aspects to drive customer engagement on an assertive manner.
  • Collaborate with Category Leaders, Technical Service and Commercial Teams to implement strategies and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Category, TS, Nutrition and Regulatory teams the development of ontrend new concepts to be showcased at events and customer engagements.
  • Responsible for T&L's participation on tradeshows: develop strategy, define messages, and manage event organization with crossfunctional teams and external vendors.
  • Work with Marketing Communication team to support effective content creation based on consumer insights and addressing appropriate market needs in category campaigns.
  • Responsible for creating and updating presentation decks with uptodate Marketing content to promote T&L's solutions and capabilities.
  • Interact with Global Market Research team to gather support on market analysis and align new research development to better serve regional needs.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Food Science/Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields; MBA or graduate degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in Marketing, Business Development or related functions, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Experience in Food and Beverage industry is desired, ideally in the ingredient solution space.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead by influence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledge on design thinking methodologies for innovation, ideation and/or agile programs.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
