Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
The Senior Manager Outbound (Subgerente de Operaciones) manage the entire orders cycle (Ecom, Wholesales, Retail and Francise), ensuring productivity and on-time delivery while maintaining excellence in customer service. Manage all outbound processes which includes Replenishment, Picking, Quality Audit, Value Added Services, Consolidation, truck loads preparation. Report directly to the Director Distribution Center (Gerente Centro de Distribución). 

 

This role is based at our Distribution Center in Lo Boza - Pudahuel. Our warehouse teams work on a 6x1 rotating shifts Mornings / Afternoons (7:00hrs – 15:30hrs / 15:00hrs - 23:30 hrs). 

 

Key Responsibilities
Functional

  • Responsible for the day-to-day outbound operations within our distribution center, including replenishment, picking, QA, VAS, Consolidation and Shipping areas
  • Responsible for staffing projection and plan execution
  • Responsible for leading supervisors to meet all operational and financial targets
  • Ensure excellent service levels to our clients
  • Create and implement SOPs for their team
  • Ensure productivity targets in all outbound processes
  • Ensure to ship all invoices planned by transportation and planning areas
  • Actively lead and participate in the development and implementation of new projects
  • Create, implement, and manage performance indicators, seek continuous improvement in the process, to ensure greater flexibility in the supply chain for orders
  • Create, train, and empower the team in administrative processes and operational concepts
  • Identify and develop talent successors
  • Help DC Director to define and run tenders for outsourced employees’ vendors
  • Responsible for operational supplies stock buys and control and its efficient use
  • Manage mezzanine complexity: infrastructure, inventory control, 6S, safety and standardized processes that guarantee world-class execution
  • Work closely with other areas to ensure resources and DC capacity meet monthly demand

  • Key internal contacts covering managers from other SCM departments & Order Fulfillment, Inbound / Planning / Lean Management, Sales Management, Customer Service, IT, Finance, Human Resources, among others.
  • Relevant management at key customers and vendors

 

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems, familiarity with distribution center best practices, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and industry leaders. Collaborating with executive leadership to align business development efforts with overall corporate goals, ensuring seamless integration across departments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Teamplay Mindset: Collaborating with sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment on growth efforts.

 

Requisite Education and Experience & Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistic, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred. Masters’ degree is a plus.
  • +5 years of experience in Distribution Operations in progressively senior positions, operations experience is an asset.
  • Deep knowledge in Outbound Operations of a Distribution Center.
  • +2 years of experience in management, leading large operational / distribution center teams than +50 people with different sleadership levels, backgorunds and seniority. 
  • We are looking for a horizontal and empathic leadership style promoting a collaborative atmosphere and a team-focused approach thanks to high emotional intelligence and ability and active listening as a leader. 
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a large distribution center, including inventory and order fulfillment management. 
  • Background in FMCG or packaged goods industry.
  • Certifications such as those in Six Sigma, Operations or Inventory Management a plus.
  • IT skills with Microsoft package, experience with ERP/WMS and Automation systems. Power BI knowledge and experience would be a plus. 
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, being able to work in an English-speaking environment in a daily basis.
