Position Summary:

The Senior Region Manager (Senior RM or SRM) at Monster Energy Company will be responsible for all relationships with distributors, with focus on Managers and Directors. The SRM will lead a team of Region Managers who will supervise sales, execution, and trade marketing affairs in the Traditional Channel in their assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, revenue-focused individual who can quickly establish relationships at all business levels and environments, developing, advancing, and driving a growth-oriented sales strategy

The SRM shall have a deep knowledge of the Traditional Trade and The Coca-Cola System.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Core focus on distributor management relationship, strategy creation, engagement, and execution.
  • Train and coach direct reports and TDMs about Monster brand and objectives.
  • Manage day to day relationship / joint business planning / reviews with Distributor.
  • Co-Manage Marketing and Trade Marketing Plans.
  • Full proficiency on budget being spent. Have an up to date and detailed control of all DME expenses, including Modern Trade, and provide reports as needed. Collect billbacks promptly and allocate trade budget efficiently.
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with distributors’ senior management.
  • Maximize the sale and distribution of all company products in the assigned region through the establishment and appropriate execution of local and national sales programs.
  • Develop, manage and/or maximize partnerships to drive improved performance.
  • Create customized sales incentives that effectively drive sales as well as engagement among distributor’s sales reps.
  • Others assigned by the business unit.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Proven track record in sales management with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent at senior leadership engagement/communication while sill showing a hands-on approach.
  • Six to ten years of sales experience in a retail, broker or distributor sales environment
  • Deep knowledge of The Coca-Cola System.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business, Marketing.
  • Proven knowledge of broker, distributor and retail customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers and brokers; ability to collaborate at all levels.
  • Excellent at managing time, priorities and expenses.
  • Able to work independently while being a team player.
  • Proficiency using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with forecasting, Nielsen/IRI, POS and Inventory reports.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed.
  • Full proficiency in English.
