If this sounds like a subsidiary you would like to be part of, then this is your opportunity to join us as Business Unit Director (BUD), reporting to the Managing Director of Chile and serving on the country executive leadership team.
The BUD will have P&L responsibility for the marketing organization, covering Oncology, Vaccines, and Pharma and Oncology sales. Currently, this is a fifteen-person organization with opportunity for growth based on our aspirations. This individual will oversee the development of strategic, tactical, and life-cycle management plans, collaborating with members of the local, regional, and global teams to accelerate the growth of priority products/indications and flawlessly execute the launch of new indications/products.
In this role, the BUD will work closely with other members of our executive and extended leadership team to set our strategic priorities for the subsidiary, including our priorities for talent, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion), and compliance.
This position will require outstanding leadership in all areas of product management including market assessment, market segmentation, market development, disease state strategy, thought leader engagement, market access/reimbursement, product strategy and positioning, forecasting, promotion strategy, channel strategies, resource allocation, and performance monitoring.
Key responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:
Leverage a customer-centric approach to develop strategies and solutions that allow us to create and capture value, becoming the leading Oncology and Vaccines company in the market.
Provide commercial leadership and input on health authority interactions, regulatory filing strategy, launch readiness reviews, key customer management, and thought leader engagement.
Lead forecasting, resource allocation, expense management, performance monitoring, and P&L management to deliver against financial commitments.
Establish, monitor, adjust and achieve key business outcomes.
Leverage various strategies, analytical tools, processes, and methods to optimize field force capabilities, effectiveness, and performance.
Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team; modeling and reinforcing our ways of working and providing on-going feedback/coaching.
Work effectively with local and regional cross-functional partners including market access, policy, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, legal, and compliance to successfully navigate the internal and external environment.
Build and sustain relationship with key external stakeholders, customers, and scientific leaders.
Develop comprehensive understanding of the Oncology and Vaccines category, including competitors, to identify best-practices and propose innovative/alternative methods to deliver value to consumers, patients, providers, and customers.
**Education Requirement**:
BA/BS degree.
Advanced degree (preferred) e.g., master’s degree, MBA or PharmD
**Required experience**:
5+ years in Pharmaceutical/Lifesciences Industry with emphasis in marketing, market access, policy, or medical affairs.
3+ years in Oncology marketing
Product/customer strategy development
Strong business, financial, and compliance acumen
Understanding of industry specific legal, compliance, and regulatory policies
Leading teams in a solid line and/or matrix environment.
Track record of people development.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Business fluency in English and Spanish - written/verbal and strong presentation skills
**Preferred**:
Knowledge of Chilean healthcare system
Oncology / Vaccines therapeutic knowledge
Product launch experience
Market access knowledge/experience
Prior sales and/or sales management experience.
