Reporting to: Tax Executive, Latam - Department: Finance - Job Location: Santiago de Chile - Travel Required: If required **Company Overview** Mainstream is a global developer of utility scale wind and solar assets operating across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. The company is focused on delivering a high quality portfolio of wind and solar assets across high-growth markets in Latin America, Africa and Asia. **Summary of the Role** **What you will do?** - Be in charge of monthly and annual tax declarations and resolution of Chilean tax office enquiries. Ensure tax compliance for all entities under scope, in accordance with the requirements established by the tax entity. - Assist in audits / queries raised by the Chilean IRS and other fiscal authorities in LATAM, with the support of the Group's tax advisors when necessary. - Respond questions from other teams on matters related to the group's tax compliance. - Support tax audit processes, tax reporting and any due diligence processes. - Implementation and continuous improvement of internal control processes of the Group.Provide support to the Tax Manager in all tax / compliance matters on a daily basis. - Support the restructuring processes for the Group and assist the Tax Manager in structuring, joint ventures and M&A in the LATAM region. - Assist the Tax Manager in the development, implementation and maintenance of all international tax structures for the LATAM operations. - Tax compliance for all entities under scope, considering WHT, VAT, Incom. - Tax, and other monthly basis and/or yearly, considering all tax procedures & affidavits. - Liaising with external tax advisors to manage ongoing compliance for all LATAM platform. - Support the preparation of current and deferred tax provisions for all legal entities in the LATAM region including liaising with the finance team and external auditors to ensure timely sign-off. - Preparation and review of tax disclosure notes in the statutory financial statements of all legal entities. - Prepare and maintain internal papers, keep record of all the decisions making in tax related matters and updating internal tax structures. - Lead the Tax Analyst Team for all the tax compliances of Mainstream LATAM. **What we require?** - A high calibre Chilean qualified accountant (5+ years PQE). - Strong organisation, communication and interpersonal skills required. - Confident self-starter with the ability to act on own initiative, high levels of energy and motivation, with a commitment to meeting deadlines. An interest in the renewables industry will be a significant advantage. - Experience in preparation of all monthly tax declarations, annual sworn declarations and provision of information to the Chilean Central Bank. - Experience of Microsoft Dynamics or another high-end accounting software package. - Intermediate English required, Fluent English a significant advantage. **What we offer?** We offer you the opportunity to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation, a diverse workplace with regards to gender, age and cultural background in a growing market in a fast-paced industry.
