**Job Description**:
Through robust programming and strategic initiatives involving external stakeholders, the Manager will bring about awareness on the benefits of MSI as a greater member of the community and reinforce the value of doing business with (or becoming an employee of) a company with such a strong commitment to Inclusivity. A successful Manager should establish practices and integrate systems that aid in the execution of executive level and enterprise wide DEI goals that directly impact key external stakeholders including but not limited to potential employees, customers, partners and suppliers-while providing actionable data and feedback that measures progress, promotes accountability, and informs decisions to further infuse DEI into business operations, people strategies, organizational culture, and community impact.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Leverage Internal & External Relationships that Strengthen the Business- Employ organizational awareness and executive presence to effectively work with senior stakeholders from diverse business lines, with a day-to-day focus on partnerships with Institutes of Higher Learning, SBA, Community Leaders, Chambers of Commerce, etc to promote and reinforce MSI as a diverse and inclusive place to work, collaborate, innovate, partner and do business with. Through robust programming and strategic initiatives involving external stakeholders, the Manager will bring about awareness on the benefits of MSI as a greater member of the community and reinforce the value of doing business with (or becoming an employee of) a company with such a strong commitment to Inclusivity.- Build alliances and partnerships with a focus on engaging with diverse communities, suppliers, partners, community leaders, and colleges/universities to proliferate MSI’s Brand with a DEI lens.- Work with internal stakeholders to make presentations to small and large groups (e.g., community organizations, trade associations, marketing events) that reinforce the company’s Inclusive Core Value.- Cultivate & Maintain Internal Relationships that Support our External Brand Vision- Work with the Product, Sales, and Services organization to reinforce messaging of inclusive product design, solutions, and services to our customers and broader stakeholders.- Liaise with MSI Brand Ambassadors to support ongoing community engagement activities.- Collaborate with Motorola Foundation to build additional community relationships and to create cross functional outreach and programs designed to achieve more diversity, equity and inclusion in our volunteering and giving activities.- Partner with the MSI Brand Manager to create and implement a public facing engagement plan centered on establishing and reinforcing a culture of Inclusion as part of the MSI Brand.- Partner with the Marketing & Communications Teams to develop public information materials, website content, social media content, presentations, translations and displays to be used in stakeholder engagement efforts- Cultivate & Maintain External Relationships that Strengthen Business Units- Leverage relationships to build diverse connections with businesses that can be leveraged by the Supplier Diversity Organization.- Engage with community groups and members as a resource for connecting the public with the responsible design and use of the company’s solutions, defined and advertised by our Product and Marketing Teams.- Represent the DEI Office at community group meetings and public & private events and report key takeaways from voices of communities and customers to related internal teams- Research and identify targeted partnerships with diverse community groups and establish long term relationships to create a pipeline of potential employees, customers, partners, and other stakeholders.
