***Department Overview **:Bring your talent and skills to Motorola Solutions, as part of the Callyo Team. As a Principal software engineer, you will be a key member of our Callyo software organization, responsible for building the next generation of Cloud and interfacing with 3rd party and on premise MSI products for our public safety customers around the world. Our products allow customers to respond effectively in mission-critical operating environments and we’re looking for world-class engineers interested in building software and systems that truly make a difference.
***Job Description**:
We are looking for leaders with a strong development & deployment background who are fast learners with good communication, analytical, troubleshooting skills and good experience with various software development/verification methodologies.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Collaborating with a team to plan, execute, and deliver products
- Test driven development
- System design (cloud architecture)
- Develop and adhere to authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols
- Performant, scalable database design and implementation
- Help our support team deliver world class customer service
**Tech Stack**
- Typescript/Node/NestJS/React
- PHP/Laravel
- Terraform/AWS
- MySQL/Postgres
- Kubernetes/ECS/SQS/VPC/IAM/Redis/CodePipeline

**Qualifications**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid foundation in object-oriented programming with experience in multi-paradigm languages
- Experience solving system design leveraging modern cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience with designing and using relational databases
- Experience working with docker and container orchestration services
- Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Experience in any of the following frameworks: PHP Laravel,.Net, Ruby on Rails, Python Django, Java Spring, Next.js, Elixir Phoenix, Rust Rocket
- Experience with React/Angular/Vue/Swift/Kotlin/iOS/Android is a plus

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 8+ years of work experience
