The business communications manager is an individual contributor who performs a broad range of functions and collaborates with colleagues across the enterprise. Responsibilities include:
- Develop materials, including bylines, blog posts, infographics, thought leadership and presentations that can be used to support key business messages and content programs, and ensure consistently typo-free, grammatically correct, high-quality materials
- Secure national speaking opportunities for executives; oversee development and design of presentations; provide event support
- Develop engaging employee communications (e.g., memos, newsletters) for company leaders, optimizing the message, visuals and timing
- Develop regular surveys on topics of interest for use in content programs
- Conduct research for executives and recruiting teams
- Build on alliance relationships by serving as a strategic contact and securing speaking, research, bylines and other content opportunities
- Collaborate with writers, editors, designers, content producers, marketers and other colleagues
- Meet with executive stakeholders regularly to understand and discover new trends, business challenges and content opportunities
- Track KPIs and use that information to inform decisions and constantly improve performance
- Track workplace and management trends and developments affecting Robert Half’s specializations
Desired Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; prefer degree in communications, public relations, English or journalism
- 4+ years’ communications experience in corporate or agency setting and/or previous writing, editing or journalism experience
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with many levels of the organization, including the executive level
- Excellent strategic-thinking and interpersonal skills
- Strong writing and editing skills; knowledge of AP style
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience with Dynamic Signal and other social monitoring software a plus
- Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly and effectively
- Ability to excel in a remote environment
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
The typical salary range for this position is $74,000 to $110,000. The salary is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

The amount of Choice Time Off (CTO) our people receive varies based on their years of service and is pro-rated based on the hours worked per week. A new hire earns up to 17 days of CTO per calendar year. Our people also receive up to 11 paid holidays per calendar year. We also offer the opportunity to contribute to our company 401(k) savings and investment plan or deferred compensation plan (if eligible), with an employer match of 100% on the first 3% of your contributions for eligible employees.
