**About the Role**

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist (Value Chain) for the mining contracts portfolio at Minerals Americas (Escondida and Pampa Norte assets).
Core Accountablities required are:

- An overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development
- Control of monthly contract expenses
- Knowledge and understanding of the operational mining process in relation to goods and services
- Identify and manage relevant KPIs of contracts
- Develops effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements, to forecast demand, and verify established contracts are effective
- Develops collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimum delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives
- Executes against the control framework for master data management; maintain quality and accuracy of information
- Generates action plans along with the operation to achieve with budget
- Identifies and implements improvement initiatives in KPI with support from Supply Analysis & Improvement
- Work collaboratively across Supply (Regional and Global and across sub-functions) and operational stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies, opportunities to reduce external spend through demand, price and productivity (technology) levers
- Collects requirements and analyses key data inputs from multiple sources (internal and external) to build robust category and sourcing strategies
- Develops sourcing and negotiation strategies using market intelligence and best practice tools such as clean sheeting, e-Auctions, TCO analysis
- Ensures integration of the category strategy across the sub-function (Purchasing, warehouse, inventory, logistic, COMEX, Payments, A&I) to ensure lowest inbound supply chain cost
- Coordinates the technical and any other non-commercial evaluation of tenders prior to negotiation
- Creates, manages and monitors contracts. Performs contract variations in line with business requirements
- Executes supplier performance reviews to track performance with contract and business requirements

**About You**:

- Bachelor degree in business administration, commercial or STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) areas
- 3+ years of relevant industry experience with a focus on procurement or supply chain management and/or 3+ years’ experience in production/maintenance in contract management
- Proven ability to influence and engage across functions and mine operations site
- High understanding of mining industry preferred
- Ability to analyze complex business processes, risk factors and control systems
- Risk management skills
- Preferred experience in ERP platforms (SAP and/or contract administration)
- Fluent Spanish speaker
- Advanced English level both written and spoken
