**Job Description**:
Located in Santiago,Chile, you will be active in market modelling and analysis of the Chilean power market, which entails keeping up to date and constantly improve the database of hydrothermic dispatch models among other simulation tools.

**Your activities will include**:

- Follow up market developments such as power demand evolution, construction of new transmission lines and generation projects affecting the demand/supply balance in the system.
- Develop both quantitative and fundamental view of medium/long term power market along the entire price curve, liaising closely with local and corporate teams to share know-how and market views.
- Keep up to date market database for internal consulting and analysis
- Keep up to date SDDP database and strive for a constant modelling improvement of SDDP and other fit-for-purpose models, tools and systems.
- Run backtest of SDDP at least once a year and propose modelling improvement
- Support portfolio analysis for commercial assessment of new PPAs
- Support business development activities and investment decision in new generation assets

**Qualifications**:

- University degree in mathematics, economics, engineering or similar.
- At least 3 years of professional work experience in energy markets, preferably previous market analysis experience.
- In depth understanding of power markets.
- Analytical skills.
- Experienced user of analysis tools such as PLP, Plexos, SDDP and /or NCP; and with programming skills, preferable Pyhton and Excel Macros.
- Strong analytical mind-set and high level of initiative and motivation.
- Advanced skills in English and Spanish are mandatory.
- Flexible, accurate and capable of further developing the business.
