**About the Role**:
Purpose:
The role is responsible for coordinating and delivering studies for the VP of Project Development sub-function, ensuring that the best practices are applied, managing and integrating stakeholders, monitoring the performance and compliance for all the contractors related to ensure the effective delivery and safeguarding the business case to deliver the optimal value.

Accountabilities:

- Coordinates the execution of study phase activities for large projects ensuring effective management of project scope, risks and quality management.
- Integrates inputs from contributing Functions and evaluate trade-offs to create value for their respective areas.
- Contributes to the creative process of exploring and evaluating all value creation opportunities to identify the optimal investment alternative for the agreed business objectives.
- Provide expertise and guidance on mining value chain (pit to port) understanding and provide inputs and alignment during the optimisation process of the investment alternative to ensure business objectives are safeguard.
- Monitors delivery of the Project area scope of work to ensure that deviations from the study plan are adequately managed, communicated and rectified. Coordinates the implementation of functional work plans and optimisation opportunities ensuring cadence, tracking and robust backup documentation.
- Coordinates the development of project activities by 3rd parties within the project area including process testwork and permits consultants among others.
- Evaluates key learnings, industry leading practice and innovations in project development and process engineering to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Ensures the development of the study phase activities in compliance with both internal and external governance processes and Our Requirements.
- Coordinates implementation of project development systems & processes ensuring compliance of Our Requirements and Projects Standards and Procedures.
- Monitors key value drivers (KVD) and ensures actions are proposed and delivered to safeguard the business case and its value proposition. Coordinates the engagement with relevant KVD assumptions owners to ensure alignment and coordinated action.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will have substantial (10 years) experience in Copper Concentrator projects, with a strong background in process concentrator engineering and project development; you are likely to have Process Engineer title or related discipline.
