**About the Role**:
As a Superintendent of Mobile Plants, you will be responsible for managing the operational continuity, end-to-end technology systems for conventional and autonomous operations. This role also participates in the approval of maintenance strategies, plans and schedules within the area of responsibility for all deployed technologies to ensure mobile plants systems, equipment and infrastructure are maintained in compliance with, work instructions and defined processes, and work schedules to achieve optimal continuous operation outcomes.

This role will provide leadership to operational technologies suppliers and BHP’s stakeholders. Will drive performance within their teams and improve mobile plants systems. This role will also be responsible to lead a team of service owners of mobile plants systems, such as, Fleet Management System, Collision Awareness, Fatigue Monitoring, Vital Signs of Mobile Equipment, High Precision location and geotechnical monitoring.

Reporting to the Manager of Mining Operations, you will be the parent service owner when it comes to management and governance of Mobile Plants Systems.

**Your key accountabilities**:

- You develop and maintain technology standards and processes for Mobile Plants Systems.
- You will oversee the day-to-day running of the mine process control team by providing leadership to specialists and support staff to ensure operational effectiveness is maintained and one team culture is enhanced.
- You will foster strong relationships between leadership, planning and scheduling, CIO and technology teams and ensure supervisors and the broader team proactively manage relationship daily.
- To monitor and assess work performance of direct reports and promote motivation and growth through regular interactions.
- Lead, coach and mentor specialists and support team related to mobile plants.
- You manage technical areas related to outsourced vendor agreements and services.
- Provide leadership support and guidance in maintaining Mobile Plants Systems policy, process, and procedures.
- Lead process improvement initiatives on mobile plants systems.
- Report and investigate any significant deviation from the operational demands
- Ensure that all changes are risk assessed and well managed.
- Encourages Zero Harm philosophy;
- Provide leadership and direction for the safe execution of maintenance activities that reduce failure rates and downtime of OT equipment and Systems across BHP Chile.

**About You**:

- To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in the following:
- Relevant degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or discipline related to the function.
- How to use and configure Asset Health Monitoring tools and guide the development of appropriate and relevant analytics
- Safety comes as your first focus and you have an eye for continuous improvement.
- Understand mining operations and have proven experience leading and delivering support services.
- You like learning and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- You can present information to different audiences adapting your style and content to ensure appropriate message are conveyed.
- You will be in an influential role and will be reference for our mobile plants systems.
- Experience leading teams and third-party vendors.
- Experience developing and managing budgets.
- Good understanding of safe maintenance processes and the maturity levels of a maintenance organization.
