Energy Account Analyst

Reporting to: Energy Account Manager - Department: Finance - Job Location: Santiago, Chile - Travel Required: Only if required **Company Overview**: Mainstream is a global developer of utility scale wind and solar assets operating across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa. The company is focused on delivering a high quality portfolio of wind and solar assets across high-growth markets in Latin America, Africa and Asia. **Summary of the Role**: The analyst will be primarily responsible for managing regulated PPA contracts, monitoring the operation of generation plants and reviewing the balances issued by the National Electric Coordinator. In addition, the position will be focused on supporting other areas in order to facilitate and instruct a multidisciplinary team in the main functions of the electricity market and the generation business. This role will work closely with the different areas within the company such as Commercial, Construction, O&M, Finance and Accountant. You will report directly to the Energy Account Manager, and support the area in the calculation of projections and provisions in order to have mapped all possible costs and deviations with respect to the forecast. **What will you do?** A key feature of this role will be collaboration, both internally and externally, with the ability to work cross-functionally with all departments. Among other functions, the role will be responsible for: - Prepare weekly and monthly reports on both operation and regulatory monitoring. - Support the analysis of the regulation of the electricity market with focus on the factors that could affect the Mainstream business both in the operation of its PPA's and in the operation of its plants. - Obtain project operation information directly from the O&M area in order to better monitor deviations from the expected Commercial Margin. o Support the preparation and calculation of weekly energy margins. o Research, develop and present reports and strategic documents to the different areas which influence the daily operation of Mainstream's coordinates. o Support in the calculation of the monthly operating provision. o Support the Energy Account Manager to provide the best analysis and advice for the company's strategies. **What we require?** - A high standard of commitment with Safety, assuming safety as a priority value in all its task and responsibilities. (mandatory) - Minimum 4 years of experience in Chilean Energy Market, working experience in Electrical Generators, Distributors, Energy Consultant firms, etc - Deep understanding of the Chilean Energy Market and renewable projects. - Previous knowledge on Energy Margins for generators with PPA's (regulated or not) and generation plants. - Knowledge of Coordinator calculation processes (Guarantee’s, Capacity payment’s, re-settlement, etc ) and the use of the Coordinator's platforms will also be an asset. - Must be self-motivated and be able to take initiative for requirements of the team. - Ability to work unsupervised a necessity, but must be able to integrate into diversified multi-functional teams as required - A high level of spoken and written Spanish and English is mandatory. **What we offer?** We offer you the opportunity to work in a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation, a diverse workplace with regards to gender, age and cultural background in a growing market in a fast-paced industry.
