We foster an expansive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Field Service Engineer supporting the Field Service Engineer Family, you will be trusted to work on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment in South Florida(Remote). In this role, a typical day will include:
- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance, retrofits, upgrades and system installations.
- Establish and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Promptly address customer concerns, quality assurance and medical safety issues.
- Manage daily schedule while maintaining proper and timely communications with customers, dispatch, managers, regional and cross-functional teams.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork on time and accurately.
- Assist Sales Team, Clinical Team and other Field Engineers as needed.
- Manage inventory, keep accurate records, and return unused and failed parts promptly.
- Promote service contract offerings and assist Inside Sales Specialist in selling service agreements to customers within your assigned territory.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
- 3 Years of Relevant Experience
HOW YOU CAN THRIVE AT ALCON:

- Please note that neither sponsorship nor relocation is available for this role.
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime on short notice. Position requires the ability to be “on call” after normal working hours
- Strong electronic/electrical and mechanical background
- Ability to lift 50 pounds. This would be to include tools, replacement parts, etc.
- Meets all Vendor Credentialing requirements necessary to gain Alcon’s client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver’s license, SSN) Criminal background checks Drug screens Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus) Annual TB testing Healthcare trainings
