**The Company**
Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client in South America, is working together to source a highly capable and motivated professional to join the Glencore Copper Team.

**The Role**

Reporting to the General Manager of Lomas Bayas, this position’s main challenge is to lead, define, plan, and coordinate the Studies Management. Managing resources, contracts, costs, necessary engineering, construction, commissioning, progress reports, and personnel to ensure that the delivery of both the company’s development and sustainability projects meets the commitments of scope, technical requirements, schedule, costs, safety, and business case valuation approved for the company’s main projects.

**The Responsibilities**
- Developing Lomas Bayas’ growth and sustainability projects, ensuring compliance with Glencore’s quality and safety standards, and meeting their scope in terms of quality, costs, and deadlines.
- Ensuring the adequate development of engineering, studies, and necessary tests that allow the selection of the optimal technical and economic solution for both growth and sustainability projects.
- Ensuring compliance with Glencore’s Capital Management Framework (CMF).
- Managing approval for project execution in accordance with Glencore’s governance (Steering Committee, Investment Committee, and others).
- Identifying and managing risks related to the project portfolio in a timely manner.
- Ensuring coordination with client areas and technical teams necessary to ensure project development and successful transfer.
- Ensuring the delivery of project inputs for the preparation and updating of plans in terms of time, cost, scope, and quality.
- Ensuring the implementation of lessons learned.
- Maximizing staff productivity while ensuring safety and commitment to the environment and the community.
- Ensuring adherence to compliance with legal regulations regarding safety, health, environment, and community.
- Leading the management of all HSEC (health, safety, environmental, and community) risks owned by the Planning area, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

**The Requirements**
- Civil Engineering with specialties related to mining, a postgraduate degree in Administration (MBA or similar) preferred, and project management certification desirable (PMI, PMP, or similar).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in leadership positions in Projects and/or Production Planning.
- Deep knowledge of metallurgy and geosciences.
- Successful achievements and interventions related to mining recovery, productivity, sustainability, and innovation.
- International experience will be highly valued.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to engage with teams, lead initiatives, and support the change process across various locations.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive user engagement and adoption.
- Propose and develop improvements and synergies to meet the organization’s renewal and learning needs.
- Build and maintain collaboration networks with the rest of the organization and relevant external parties.
