**Location**:
We work on projects all around the world, in large cities and small towns, so our people must be willing to travel and work on site as required. Work assignment locations and durations will be determined by our client s needs. Employees must be able to travel and potentially temporarily relocate as required by our client s needs.
**Position Overview**:
Senior Estimator, with extensive experience on large mining projects, able to technically understand complex mining projects and complete accurate and comprehensive estimates of entire projects. The estimator must be able to complete both detailed estimates when all data is available and able to create order of magnitude estimates when all the details are not available, hence relying on past experience and knowledge.
**Primary Responsibilities**:
- Analyze project documents, specifications, drawings and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Identify which productivity and local factors may influence the cost of a project
- Prepare detailed material and labor estimates
- Use bid data to prepare a detailed cost analysis
- Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Challenge existing project estimates
- Help identify project risks and develop contingency plans.
- Assist in determining the project contingency
- Present estimates and reports to management and other stakeholders
- Input and maintain cost data in the company database
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor s degree in Construction, Engineering, or in a related technical field.
- Minimum 20 years of experience with in cost estimating for large mining projects.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing. Able to report in both languages.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including MS Teams for online communications.
- Well-organized and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, as well as to coordinate with several departments to accomplish the objectives of the project.
- Up-to-date work permit for Chile.
- Ability to travel using COVID 19 safety protocols.
