Employee Communications Specialist

LOCATION

SAN RAMON

As a Communications Specialist, your specific responsibilities will include:

- Provides general support of writing and editing high-quality communication materials with direction and input from management and other senior team members. Manages previously written content and develops some content independently.
- Uses AP Style and Robert Half style guidelines.
- Submits work to Senior Communication Specialist, Communication Manager, or other team members for further edit, proof and review.
- Coordinates multiple projects under the direction of the Communication Manager.
- Assists with research, tracking, creating reports, gathering information, compiling timelines and budget information.
- Collaborates with other internal departments on assigned projects and/or programs including providing direction to bring work to completion, obtain information and provide status updates.
- Participates in project meetings with other departments to understand and identify communication needs.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years journalism, PR or corporate communications experience.
- Computer skills - MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint. Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
- Very strong attention to detail, solid writing skills, program/project management abilities, and ability to multi-task.
- Previous experience writing articles and newsletters preferred.
- Previous experience managing multiple projects preferred.
