As a Field Service Engineer, you will execute service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines. You will be in close cooperation with customers and other ABB teams, acting as the technical point while delivering quality and satisfying customer service. This position will be based on Santiago.

**This position reports to**:
Service Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Repairs, start-up, updating, modernization of low and medium voltage drives
- Review of Drives and modifications requested by the factory. Guarantee care. Perform service tasks such as installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance
- Identify technical problems and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, routine maintenance, retrofits, upgrades, replacement, etc.)
- Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines
- Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, appreciating their needs and providing specialist assistance and solutions
- Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews
Provide recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service

**Your background**:

Higher level technician or a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic engineer
- Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning and repairing variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Basic knowledge of medium and low voltage motors
- Knowledge of occupational safety in the field (type: HSE), procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to travel (70% of the time)
- Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills. Empathy with the internal and external client and the work team
- Advanced Spanish and Intermediate English level
