- What you will be doing
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director, Innovative Field Solutions is responsible for leading client engagement or a functional unit, focused on supporting the needs of team members and clients/customer. The Director will collaborate with various internal and external key stakeholders to effectively execute plans based on client engagement and IFS strategic plans. This role requires the ability to work in a highly matrixed environment. Scope and approach to the activities for assigned field teams are defined by the client’s legal and compliance departments and may vary.

Account Management
- Provides leadership on a single or multiple client accounts or practice areas, depending on the scope of the engagement and contractual requirements
- Responsible for strategic operations management for assigned client(s)
- Compliantly and effectively communicate and collaborate with client cross-functional teams
- Team Management
- Contribute to establishing team objectives and goal attainment
- Work with management team to ensure a clear understanding of team mission and goals
- Collaborate with management team to help identify skills that are needed for projects or work activities and match skill requirements with talent
- Understand performance standards for management team and measure success against performance standards
- Business Development
- Identify innovative business expansion and/or new services
- May lead or support proposal writing, contracting, client presentations, and pricing
- Establishes goals for growth within team and supported client
- Technical Skills and Expertise
- Stays abreast of industry trends and important issues impacting clients
- May maintain specialize technical skills in a disease state, hold expert medical knowledge on reimbursement strategies, and/or possesses, functional knowledge
- Identifies and collaborates with internal and external resources
- Applies consultative skills when engaging with clients
- Prioritize activities and abide by processes to maximize operational efficiencies
- Training and Mentoring
- Develops succession plans for key management team members
- Recruits, trains, and develops managers
- Provides leadership to team and participates as facilitator for learning programs
- Conduct field observations with field staff to understand field needs, and provide recommendations to managers and Innovative Field Solutions leadership
- Leverages leadership and consultative skills to mentor and coach direct reports and team members in finding ways to build strong partnerships with clients and customers
- Financial Accountability
- Manages budget to assigned client contract
- Approves team members expenses
- Allocates human and financial resources as appropriate to ensure objectives are accomplished
- Searches and pursues revenue generation opportunities and effectively manages to ensure that new revenue is realized
- Trains managers on financial matters related to performing job responsibilities
- Quality and Compliance
- Overall responsibility for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services
- Assess operational processes and performance and provide focused coaching to ensure expectations are met, and whenever possible, exceeded
- Ensure team is compliant to the program requirement as documented in the rules of engagement, or similar document
- Identifies areas for risk and propose a risk mitigation plan
- Fosters proactive, continued quality improvement
- Ensures and maintains highest integrity and honesty in all business activities
- Organizational Leadership
- Responsible for corporate culture to include embracing and fostering company values
- Supports company programs and initiatives
- Adheres to company policies and procedures
- Supports company practices
- Performs other related activities as assign
What your background should look like
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Normally requires ten years directly related and progressively responsible experience in a private or third party reimbursement arena, or pharmaceutical industry in sales, managed care, or clinical support. Experience in operational processes is critical. Advanced degree preferred.
- MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid leadership and project oversight skills-
- Proven ability to contribute and lead team to deliver quality deliverables and results on time, with available resources, and within budget-
- Proven ability to work with multiple individuals simultaneously-
- Knowledge of the operational processes and continuous quality improvement-
- Knowledge of healthcare trends and impact on pharmaceutical/biotechnology/medical device industry-
- Technical knowledge of health care access and reimbursement from a patient and provider perspective-
- Knowledge of private payer, Medicare and Medicaid structure, systems, and reimbursement process-
- Quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, including ability to tre
