**Key Respinsibilities**
- Adhere to our internal organizational values and behaviors, while acting as the focal point in Chile to manage RWE Renewables’ local community engagement and authorities relationship and coordination with the team appropriate communication with landowners when necessary, under the framework of Corporate Social Responsibility policy throughout the lifetime of the projects once originated.
- Provide communities assessment in the prefeasibility assessment of the development projects
- Ensure an early engagement with communities, raise concerns of the communities and raise possible difficulties in advance for the development of our project
- Ensure an early engagement authorities, raise possible difficulties and stablish channels of support
- Lead the community engagement strategy, program and implementation for each project, managing the engaged consultants and in alignment with the development team.
- Lead the relation with regional and local communities on site and in alignment with the development team orientating and managing the consultants engaged for this task locally.
- Support the development team in the preparation, submission and approval of permissions related with communities.
- Keep permanent contact with the Energy Ministry and its unit of community engagement and the relevant local authorities on our community engagement relation strategy and program, and advances of our projects
- Work in defining, structuring and promoting local policies regarding to respect of Human Rights, Due Diligence, providers policies, etc.
- Work constructively in a dynamic team environment, promoting a good communication regarding our pipeline progress and to hold a close relationship with relevant internal stakeholders across business and functional units, to ensure intra-company collaboration and to ramp up the integration of the new business unit.
- Governance and process improvement: participate in the creation of a highly-effective local organization through active best practice transfer and implementation on methods, processes and standards when required, in close collaboration with other RWE departments.
- HSE: comply with our HSE standards and procedures - Safety first Help ensure that global best practices and learnings get transferred and implanted across RWE Renewables.
The position requires travelling across the country to visit communities and other relevant stakeholders.
**Work Experience**
- 3+ years of relevant experience in community engagement
- 3+ years of relevant experience in public affairs
- Strong interpersonal, communications, empathy and negotiation skills with ability to persuade through consensus building.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, highly adaptable and used to work in multiple projects simultaneously with different deadlines.
- Acting comfortably in cross-cultural teams, collaborating across country boundaries with a sense for diversity and inclusion; ability to building and maintain a contact network and business relationships.
**Education Requirements**
- Bachelor or Master’s degree
- Excellent oral and written English skills; other relevant languages will be a plus.
