The commercial team is responsible for the end
- to
- end management of all procurement activities within the South African region, including Regional Category Management, Sourcing & Contracts, Project Procurement and Purchasing. The team works with regional business and Supply Chain stakeholders to implement and manage performance of contracts and suppliers, grow the host community supply base and ensure effective supply of goods and services required for operations.

The Project Procurement sub-discipline supports business units with Growth and Stay-In-Business projects by managing the end-to-end procurement of goods and services required in the execution of these projects to drive the project value delivery targets (capital budgets) and maximise value delivery in the region. Project Procurement forms an integral link between Category Teams, Project Teams, Site Customers, Business Unit Operations, and external Contractors to manage the outsourcing and contracting projects requirements and optimise overall project performance.

Provide advisory support to project procurement lifecycle which encompasses all the steps involved in obtaining goods and services, from defining your business needs to soliciting bids, awarding contracts and managing supplier relationships, at a tactical, operational and strategic level to ensure security of supply, cost control, sustainability and optimal supplier performance for declared projects.

**Safety, Health & Environmen**t
- Identify ways to support specific safety, health & sustainability opportunities and risks and ensure relevant activities complies with all Safety, Health & Environmental requirements.
- Ensure the safe operation of the environment, performing regular risk assessments and raising any risks/issues immediately.
- Comply with relevant policies and standards and particularly the Contractor Performance Management policy & procedures to enable achievement of gold-standard contractor safety performance.

**Performance & Delivery**:

- Contribute to the overall SC strategy, risk identification, critical tasks & performance targets.
- Provide advisory support with planning and scheduling for Regional & BU Project Procurement Management activities.
- Actively participate in value delivery target setting, tracking and initiative development.
- Advise on the contract administration of project related procurement contracts.
- Provide advisory support to performance management of contractual KPI’s.
- Ensure effective tracking and reporting of supplier performance
