Mission

We are looking for a Financial Associate to join the Investments team of our LATAM Business Unit at Zelestra. The main purpose of this role is to lead the financial analysis and modeling of renewable-energy investment projects across Latin America. This includes identifying key variables and risks and effectively communicating results and recommendations to Senior Management, while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and internal procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Work in collaboration with the Investments, Development, and Commercial Departments to analyze investment projects, assess profitability and key risks, and prepare business cases for the Investment Committees.
  • Provide early-stage support to the Commercial and Development areas in the selection and evaluation of projects that meet the Company's investment criteria.
  • Support the Project Finance team in financing processes through financial modeling and coordination of advisors during due diligence.
  • Effectively manage relationships with different company areas (Development, Commercial, Project Finance, Controlling, EPC, etc.) to obtain the inputs required for project evaluation.
  • Develop financial valuation models, cash-flow projections, and IRR analyses.
  • Collaborate with Development, Commercial, and Project Finance teams in preparing memoranda for Investment Committees. 
Job Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Business/Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of overall professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of Project Finance experience in the Energy or Infrastructure/Concessions sector.
  • Experience closing financings with banks.
  • Proven track record in developing financial models.
  • Experience in the Peruvian and Colombian power sectors is a plus.
  • Expert level in Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced Spanish and English.
