Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and compliant working environment for employees while encouraging open dialogue.
  • Set the agenda and direction for the market/region by communicating the business purpose, objectives, initiatives, values, and policies
  • Ensure employees are hired, on-boarded, and trained (including current employee base)
  • Understand customers' strategies, value chains, & major markets served. Use this knowledge to develop customer partnerships with long-term value propositions
  • Build & sustain relationships (customers, employees, BLY) that position & reposition the business for sustained profitable growth. Open communication across all constituent ices is essential.
  • Manage succession planning for sustainable business growth. Focus on building local leadership talent through mentoring and coaching.
  • Lead the market through innovation and a 'can do' attitude
  • Achieve financial & operational goals (e.g. safety, talent development, revenue, cost, margins).
Education and Experience:
  • Set the agenda and direction for the market/region by communicating the business purpose, objectives, initiatives, values, and policies
  • Bachelor's degree, especially in mining or geology, or equivalent business degree.
    • MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 12 years business operations experience
  • Strategic minded, able to seek opportunities before others, and able to grasp those chances
  • Spanish Speaker
  • The position is in Santiago, Chile, and will require travel across the different countries in the region (Chile and Argentina). Will need to travel to the various projects.
  • Relocate to Santiago, Chile.
  • Ensure employees are hired, on-boarded, and trained (including current employee base)
