This role sits at the intersection of product engineering, data intelligence, and AI/ML innovation. You'll architect and build AWS-native solutions that process complex procurement workflows, extract and normalize data from diverse document formats (especially PDFs), and leverage fuzzy matching algorithms and machine learning to automate supplier data reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical strategy and architecture

  • Architect scalable AWS solutions

  • Design and implement data processing pipelines

  • Build robust PDF extraction and document intelligence systems

  • Lead backend development with Python,

  • Drive technical architecture decisions

  • Deliver value across the cloud stack,

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness

  • Grow and mentor a team of 3

    4 engineers

  • Address technical debt strategically

  • Identify and correct bottlenecks

  • Establish and maintain code quality standards,

  • Implement and evangelize modern automated testing

  • Advocate for incremental delivery and trunk-based development,

  • Champion AI-driven development practices

If you have

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience

  • Deep proficiency in Python

  • Real-world AWS knowledge

  • Strong TypeScript expertise

  • Strong data processing experience

  • Production experience with PDF and document processing,

  • Experience with fuzzy matching and data reconciliation,

  • Proven experience designing and implementing microservices and event-driven

    architectures

  • Experience with distributed systems,

  • Strong understanding of API design

  • Experience applying machine learning to practical business problems

  • Expertise with the principles of SOLID, DRY, KISS, YAGNI, and TDD

  • A thought leader for AI-driven development

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate engineering teams

  • Familiarity with LLM integration and prompt engineering for document intelligence

  • Expertise in front-end performance optimization
