The Role

The Sales Manager will lead a sales team, delivering on revenue targets. This individual will develop strategic sales plans, coach team members, and work cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to align efforts.

  • Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing sales team.
  • Provide regular coaching and professional development, ensuring the team meets individual and group sales targets.
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that drives revenue growth, expands our seller base, and enhances customer acquisition across multiple categories.
  • Analyze sales metrics, prepare regular reports, and inform leadership on team performance and emerging trends.
  • Work closely with the marketing and product teams to create a cohesive strategy for customer acquisition, product launches, and feedback-driven product development.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have 3+ years in sales leadership roles, preferably within a high-growth startup or marketplace environment.

  • A passion for our mission at Whatnot, living and breathing the needs of our communities and improving their experiences on Whatnot.
  • A history of exceeding sales goals in a high-volume outbound sales environment.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills, motivating, coaching, and developing a high-performing sales team.
  • Experience with CRM systems, advanced sales analytics tools, and sales automation tools.
Benefits

Whatnot offers a competitive salary range of $165,000/year to $180,000/year, benefits, and equity. Additional perks include:
