Senior Investment Officer, Latin America Forestry

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Investment Officer to lead our business development efforts in Chile and forestry across Latin America and the Caribbean. As a key member of our Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and Services (MAS) team, you will be responsible for establishing and executing business strategies, identifying investment opportunities, and building relationships with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development plans for MAS sectors in Chile and forestry across LAC.
- Identify, structure, and close investments in line with IFC's strategic priorities and risk management framework.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and financial institutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project implementation and risk management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, regulatory requirements, and industry developments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 12 years of experience in finance, preferably in investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and closing investments in emerging markets.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing, agribusiness, and services industries, particularly in forestry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
