At Course, we are seeking a highly skilled Durable Medical Equipment Billing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for submitting and auditing claims within the DME industry.
Responsibilities:- Communicate with patients, medical professionals, and insurance companies regarding claims.
- Ensure claims include proper documentation, correct patient information, and appropriate coding.
- Submit and follow up on claims to ensure timely payment.
- Post account charges and payments, and process claims denials and insurance appeals.
- Monitor accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
- Excellent English verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Two years of experience in clerical/office support work and/or education at the high school level.
- Minimum of two years billing experience – preferred.
- One year DME experience required; two years AR experience required.
- Knowledge of Insurance guidelines and other payment requirements.
- Knowledge of ICD 10 Codes, HCPCS Codes, and LCDs.
- CPC/CPC-A encouraged but not required.
Expected salary: Competitive salary and benefits package.
Location: Santiago.
Job type: Full-time.
