About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GenAI Business Development Manager to lead our GenAI strategy in Latin America. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with GenAI startups, developing and executing business agreements, and collaborating with colleagues across the global Startup Business Development, Marketing and Sales teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. GenAI Startup Engagement: Identify and engage with GenAI startups in Latin America, mapping their technical and commercial challenges to Amazon's assets and mobilizing those assets to work on their behalf.
  2. Startup Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the startup customer, discovering, capturing, and reporting back patterns and learnings from the field about opportunities related to GenAI.
  3. Relationship Development: Develop and hold relationships with key influencers in the startup ecosystem focused on GenAI, including venture funds, accelerators, university labs and programs.
  4. Collaboration and Thought Leadership: Collaborate with colleagues across the global Startup Business Development, Marketing and Sales teams to better serve the needs of customers leveraging GenAI technologies, and produce GenAI thought leadership and technical-leaning content, workshops, and events for the startup ecosystem.
  5. Strategic Contributions: Inform, influence, and contribute to the work of other GenAI-related colleagues across AWS and Amazon, including sales, marketing, business development, solutions architecture and product teams, and contribute to the development of our GenAI strategy.
  6. Initiative Development: Conceive, author, secure support for, launch, and execute new initiatives and programs to meet the needs of startup customers as they relate to GenAI.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements experience
  • 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
  • Fluent English, Spanish, and Portuguese
