Water Supply Infrastructure Development Specialist

As a Water Supply Infrastructure Development Specialist, you will oversee and manage all aspects of water supply infrastructure development and operations for a critical water treatment plant at Lomas Bayas.
This role holds high visibility within the global Copper Department, managing substantial investments in water infrastructure and overseeing a significant project portfolio. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up of the Treatment Plant align with safety, quality, and schedule metrics. You will also contribute to monitoring and controlling the construction of the treatment plant in terms of scheduling and cost control.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Hydraulic, or related fields), Environmental Science, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is preferred. Proven experience (20+ years) in project management within the mining or heavy industries sector is required. Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar credentials is also necessary.
As a Water Supply Infrastructure Development Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing Pipeline Construction Project Management (CMF Standard) and defining and implementing the contract management model for the entire project. You will also define and implement the modality of progressive approach to Econssa, monitor the Econssa tender process to ensure compliance with the contractual plan, and control Glencore and Econssa Project Schedule and Budget.
You will ensure water supply until the entry into force of the contract (bridge contracts for AN and LB) and operationalize contractual clauses and ensure compliance with deadlines. Defining governance for the management of communication between Glencore, Econssa, and Bidders Responsible is also essential. Additionally, you will maintain good relations and communication with required governmental authorities and secure the extension of LB's existing inland water use permits for the period 2027.
In exchange for your expertise, we offer an estimated salary of $120,000 per year, which is commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
