Job Summary

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing cloud-based solutions for the company, defining and documenting best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance, and providing guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement cloud-based solutions for the company, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals.
  • Define and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenance, ensuring high code quality and thoughtful design standards.
  • Provide guidance, thought leadership, and mentorship to development teams to build cloud competencies, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to design, deploy, and maintain cloud-based applications.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high code quality and thoughtful design standards.
  • Manage cloud environments following company security guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Work closely with clients to define acceptance criteria for new features, ensuring that cloud-based solutions meet their business needs and requirements.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the field of cloud computing, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, with knowledge of other cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure) being a plus.
  • Knowledge of organizations, roles, and permissions definition, with experience in code and build scripts (Bash, Python).
  • Practical knowledge of SQL and NoSQL engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Oracle), with experience in working with Linux (Debian/CentOS/Amazon Linux).
  • Experience with Terraform, Containers (K8S - EKS), and Docker, with knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitlabCI, Jenkins) concepts.
  • Ability to configure management tools like Ansible, with experience in Load Balancers, Firewalls, Routing, DMZs.
  • OCI Solutions Architect Accreditation (or equivalent), with written and spoken English (nice to have) and written and spoken Spanish (mandatory).
