The Department of Statistics at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile is a leading research group in the region, offering undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. programs in Statistics and Actuarial Science.
We are seeking a highly qualified researcher and educator to join our team as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Statistics and Data Science. The successful candidate will be expected to pursue a vigorous research program and teach three undergraduate/graduate courses per year in Spanish, with support for idiomatic expression if needed. During the first two years, the load will be reduced to two courses per year.
The annual salary for this position is approximately $29,162,000 CLP (around $44,000 USD or €38,000 EUR). Additionally, the selected candidate can apply for a starting funding of 8,000,000 CLP (approximately $12,000 USD or €10,500 EUR) from the Academic Insertion program, to be used during the first three years.
