Job Description:

A challenging role awaits a seasoned Project Manager to lead the execution of projects of various sizes as well as services for ABB Schweiz AG in Chile. This position is part of the Process Automation area, with key stakeholders being Operations teams and customers from the Mining segment.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and oversee planning, monitoring, and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.
  • Monitor and control project progress, efficient resource utilization, and project financials.
  • Identify, qualify, quantify, manage project risk, and ensure all opportunities are identified and pursued.
  • Drive the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.

Requirements:

  • You have over 10 years of experience in Project Management within the Mining segment, for a diversity of projects that include Engineering and Commissioning of Specialized and Automation systems.
  • You have a "zero-harm" mindset, aiming to achieve quality results while preventing workplace accidents.
  • You approach matters preemptively, ensuring proper resource management to meet the project's objectives.
  • You can effectively manage all procedures and controls within a project's scope, ensuring they are met in appropriate timeframes, costs, and quality requirements to avoid significant contract deviations.
  • You have extensive experience managing projects with the use of MS Project or Primavera P6, and have knowledge of the SAP ERP.
  • You are qualified to lead medium-sized projects either by extensive experience, post-graduate studies, or a PMO certification.
  • You can communicate fluently in Spanish, able to hold conversations independently with diverse stakeholders and teams, as well as having significant experience and knowledge of the English language ("advanced or fluent" levels).
  • You possess availability to travel as per project requirements, up to 25% of the time.
