Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage technology product roadmaps to meet asset requirements and unlock future growth options.
- Manage the forward work plan to allow effective progression of technologies through the innovation pipeline.
- Collaborate with the ecosystems team to identify new prospective innovative technologies and concepts of operation.
- Develop technical risk-based learning plans, budgets, and schedules for technologies to be effectively and efficiently developed.
- Develop business cases inclusive of commercial considerations to assess technology economic attractiveness.
- Manage the development of test work programs with internal and external vendors to derisk technologies.
- Collaborate with the delivery team to develop requirements for onsite testing of prospective innovations.
- Provide technical subject matter expertise across the team for the assessment of new technologies.
- Facilitate and participate in technical working groups to share information and leverage global expertise.
- You will possess a strong background in mining engineering with over 15 years of experience, preferably in surface mining.
- You will have a good knowledge of digital technology applications in mining and software development processes.
- You will be passionate about innovation and have the ability to turn creative ideas into practical solutions.
- You will have proven ability to identify and develop technologies from early phase through to onsite piloting.
- You will have technical expertise to assess work program outcomes and make data-driven recommendations.
- You will have financial acumen to effectively assess innovation technologies.
- You will have the ability to apply technical knowledge into system thinking and link multiple technologies into a whole of process concept of operation.
- You will have excellent communication and presentation skills.
- You will have the ability to think strategically and assess multiple future scenarios.
- You will have relevant project management experience.
- You will hold a graduate degree in Mining Engineering or a related field, with a postgraduate degree preferred.
- You will be fluent in Spanish and English.
