The Opportunity

Abbott is seeking a Regional Recruitment Specialist to enhance our talent acquisition efforts across multiple countries.

In this role, you will ensure an exceptional experience for both Hiring Managers and Candidates throughout the recruitment process in various regions, including Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia, as well as across different business divisions such as Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, and Nutrition.

Your responsibilities will encompass the complete recruitment cycle for both individual contributors and managerial roles within the South Region, collaborating closely with Talent Acquisition colleagues in several countries.

Key Responsibilities

Gain a thorough understanding of client business objectives and strategies. Consult with hiring managers and Business HR to clarify skill requirements and experience needed for each position. Collaborate with hiring managers to formulate a detailed recruitment strategy for each role, managing expectations effectively. Identify and implement suitable sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates, utilizing all available internal resources. Source, screen, and guide candidates throughout the recruitment process, providing feedback at each stage. Ensure a structured and competency-based interview process is adhered to for every hiring requirement, conducting assessment centers when necessary. Manage salary negotiations and oversee the offer process, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Build and maintain effective relationships with new and existing recruitment agencies, ensuring clear terms and conditions are established. Report and present data to deliver strategic market insights and conduct market research. Prepare recruitment budgets for each business unit, covering media strategies, referrals, recruitment agencies, fairs, websites, social media, and direct sourcing. Participate in regional initiatives focused on Early Careers, Diversity and Inclusion, People & Culture, and Branding, aiming to provide efficient and high-quality service to internal stakeholders while ensuring a positive candidate experience.

Required Qualifications

A university degree or equivalent qualification. Proficiency in English is essential. Proven experience in sourcing candidates through various tools and networks. Strong assessment capabilities to evaluate candidates' business skills, technical expertise, and key behaviors. Excellent skills in managing the Talent Acquisition process to ensure satisfaction for both candidates and clients. Ideally, a blend of agency and in-house recruitment experience. A professional, accountable, energetic, and collaborative team player. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and dynamic environment. A competitive spirit, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and succeed. Capability to establish professional relationships across all business levels, including with Senior Executives.
