Communications Specialist

The communications specialist will take on a variety of tasks and contribute to projects related to corporate and executive communications. The role collaborates with colleagues across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include:
- Create written and visual communications that engage and inform internal audiences, including memos, newsletters and occasional intranet content- Draft presentations and scripts for internal meetings and events; strong PowerPoint skills are a huge asset in this position- Organize library of communications resources, including templates, photos, presentations and company information- Act as project manager for various corporate and executive events, including maintaining calendars and communications timelines- Engage with content, internal communications, events and media services teams on special projects and deliverables

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Public Relations or related field- Minimum 4 years of experience preferred (experience in corporate communication a plus)- Strong writing skills, attention to detail, ability to interact with all levels of management and staff- Capacity to respond quickly and confidently to sometimes urgent need for quality communications- Excellent PowerPoint skills- Experience working with various design tools including Canva- Strong presentation and public speaking skills a plus- Skill in organizing team projects and assets- Positive attitude and professional demeanor with a responsive, service-oriented mindset- Desire to effectively operate within a team environment - readily share information with colleagues and embrace the give and take of responsibilities that regularly occurs among team members
