- projects globally.**The Opportunity**

Glencore Copper are currently seeking a highly capable and motivated professional to join our LATAM OE & Tech team based in either Lima or Santiago to support to implement the global technology strategy in Glencore copper assets.
- The role will provide support in the Technology Transformation business function in the assessment of opportunity and the roll-out of studies relating to specific technology initiative activities, in an aggregated and articulated fashion, seeking for the global optimum solutions.
- The role will undertake the implementation activities required to realize the business strategic plan for investment in technology in the Copper commodity.**In this role you will be responsible for**:

- Reporting to the Technology Studies Manager and Control.
- Identify and manage key stakeholders.
- Liaise with business and other stakeholders to elicit and clarify requirements, including assessing implementation feasibility and delivery.
- Assist in the implementation of standards and controls for the internal team.
- Perform tasks in accordance with quality procedures or architecture requirements as applicable.
- Review and provide feedback on applicable project quality procedures.
- Progress the program through the lifecycle processes.
- Preparation of reporting for project activities including schedule, budgets and cost tracking.
- Oversee all project work within the program and setting of appropriate standards and policies.
- Report on planning and progress.
- Coordinate program resourcing.
- Engagement of consultants for works initiatives including preparation of scopes, tendering, assessment and award processes.
- Management of consultant activities on a day-to-day basis.
- Co-ordinate the efforts of all involved and oversee projects and studies.
- Support regional technology lead in the development of Latam technology roadmaps, from concept through to feasibility.
- Analysis of business cases for technology investment.
- Undertake technology portfolio control, including projects and initiatives, from a Cost, Schedule and Risk perspective.
- Control progress in our defined systems, including CMF (Capital Management Framework portal - for capital projects), internal artifacts to control initiatives.
- Manage the OPEX spending, forecast and budget process for OE & Technology.
- Manage and integrate the global Head function Budget and LoA processes across sub-functions.
- Be an effective safety leader and behavior modelling for the project team, contractors and construction workforce.
- Actively engage all relevant stakeholders.
- Experience in identifying business integration and optimizing business operations by reducing or eliminating integration requirements.
- Conduct optimization exercises in the studies stages, incorporating an appreciation of factors such as cost-volume relationships, capital designed relationships and mining ore body and processing signature characteristics.
- Maintain a Project Execution Control framework to facilitate world class delivery of capital projects. The framework should focus on a universally applicable approach to influence and align design and study phases and proactively set up the construction phases for success to optimize project delivery.
- Actively collaborate and integrate with design engineering, technical and project planning teams to shape the constructability profile of projects by introducing industry best practice and leading edge approaches to project design and execution. Actively
- Lead the analysis and identification of opportunities to enable step changes in value realization by creating novel management and technical pathways for the integration and/or adaptation of execution cycle time activities and sequencing to drive cost reduction, mitigate project risk and ensure sustainability of operations post commissioning.
