**About the Role**

The purpose of the role is to develop, review and understand strategic options for technology to unlock full potential of BHP’s assets, and work with Assets and Functions to embed them into Business Plans. Reporting to the Manager - Strategic Planning, you will support the development of Strategic Options for BHP Technology and work with Asset and Functional partners for embedment of these options through BHP’s Corporate Alignment Planning (CAP) Process. You will also play a key role in the development and execution of Business Planning processes for Technology while driving continuous improvement. You will work as a thought partner to the Technology Leadership Team and will collaborate with various cross functional teams across Technical (including Technology), Finance and Assets to develop and deliver options and plans that unlock BHP’s technology potential.

In this role, you will:

- Partner with asset and functional stakeholders to set the right technology strategy to deliver best value outcomes for the business
- Collaborate with other Technical functions to develop potential solutions for business problems
- Maintain a portfolio of options to deliver change, and well defined pathways to deliver them
- Lead the Technology function’s Corporate Alignment Planning (CAP) process including Life of Asset (LoA), Cash prioritisation and Five year Plan (5YP), ensuring that the most value accretive solutions are identified, prioritised and embedded in Business plans.
- Engage and influence across all levels of the organisation to set and refresh the strategic imperatives;
- Ensure appropriate governance processes and documentation to ensure adequate review of assumptions, outcomes and recommendations;
- Lead the analysis of production, benchmarking and project data to identify opportunities for value optimization.
- Support the development of Leadership briefing papers on BHP commitments/opportunities
- Assist Assets and Functions in the development of digital roadmaps

**About You**

Qualification
- Required - Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Science, Engineering or similar
- Desired - relevant Post-Graduate studies (MBA)

Experience
- Required - Experience in mining industry or similar
- Desired - Experience in corporate planning process including Life of Asset Planning, Five Year Planning, Development of Annual Budget etc.
- Desired - Experience in Technology or similar function

With significant strategic planning experience, you will demonstrate:

- Proven ability to persuade and influence leaders;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to translate data to a broad and executive stakeholder group;
- Experience in delivering transformation programs with a keen interest for emerging trends across operational and information technology;
- Proven ability to build, grow and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
