**Purpose**:
Lead projects through the Identification, Selection and Definition phases, ensuring project objectives are met within approved time, quality and budget. All must be carried out in accordance with BHP's Charter of Values, Business Requirements, Governance (Our Requirements), and relevant statutory obligations, with a fundamental commitment to the areas of health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.

**About the Role**:
Main Functions:

- Lead projects in Initiation, Identification, Selection and Definition phases.
- Prepare the investment case and coordinate applicable governance processes.
- During Identification phase ensure the identification, development and comparison of options to determine the preferred investment alternative.
- Execute the strategy and prepare the plan for project execution, incorporating the requirements of all stakeholders.
- Monitor schedule, cost and scope in compliance with the approved business case, governance processes both internal and external, and ensure that deviations / risks are communicated as appropriate to relevant stakeholders, and are also managed and rectified.
- Conduct regular reporting processes and ensure that routines have been rigidly followed for the purpose of identifying risks in a timely manner.

**About You**:

- Civil Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Metallurgist or similar).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Mining Projects.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management processes.
- English language proficiency, spoken and written.
- PMP (PMI) certification desirable.
