The intern will be under the supervision of the Chief of the Human Resources Section and will work directly with the Human Resources Data Analysis Assistant.

**Responsibilities**:
Daily responsibilities will depend on the individual’s background and the internship period. Duties may include:

- Supports research activities focused on HR data analysis related issues.
- Assists in the compilation of HR related data.
- Provides support to maintain databases containing HR related statistics and indicators.
- Helps identify errors and inconsistencies in data and proposes solutions.
- Assists in the preparation of data sets and other inputs to support the preparation of periodic reports and other information products.
- Contributes to the search for data visualization tools to develop innovative data products.
- Provides support in the preparation of newsletters and other products related to data analysis activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

(b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- For this internship, studies in the areas of Management, Human Resources, Data Management and other related areas is desirable.

Work Experience
- For this internship experience in preparation, delivery and data visualization and preparation of reports is desirable.

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

Fluency in (English / Spanish) is required. Knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.

NOTE: “Fluency” equals a rating of ''fluent'' in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ¨knowledge of¨ equals a rating of ''confident'' in two of the four areas.
