ThoroughTec is seeking a high performing **Business Development Manager**, based in Santiago, to unearth new sales and to service existing clients in South America. Reporting to the Executive Vice President Global Business Development, this role will play an integral part in the continued expansion of ThoroughTec's CYBERMINE leadership in South America.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, Spanish and ideally Portuguese
- Previous mining industry experience in solution sales, business development, relationship building or client servicing desirable.
- A positive and determined approach to identifying new business opportunities using leads, relevant research tools, region specific targeting and cold calling.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a business environment.
- A positive and engaging attitude in dealing with people.
- An affinity for regional and international business travel (about 30% to 40% of time will be on the road)
- A capability to work independently, whilst taking responsibility as an individual.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- A stable track record of achieving above target performance where the majority of revenue derives from new customers.
- An inherently competitive nature and a hunger to succeed.
