**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the DevOps specialist to assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of infrastructure and automation tools.
- Assist in the configuration and management of Infrastructure automation tools.
- Assist in the monitoring and optimization of system performance, security, and availability.
- Contribute to the identification and resolution of technical issues, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
- Work closely with developers and system administrators to ensure smooth integration and delivery of software products.
- Research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and best practices related to DevOps and make recommendations for improvements.
- Document processes, procedures, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain a knowledge base.

Education

To qualify for an internship with the United Nations Internship Programme, the following conditions must be met:
(a) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent, or higher); or,

(b) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor’s level or equivalent).
- For this internship, studies in the area of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience are desirable.

Work Experience

Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.

Knowledge of English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.

NOTE: “Fluency” equals a rating of ''fluent'' in all four areas (speak, read, write, and understand) and ¨knowledge of¨ equals a rating of ''confident'' in two of the four areas.

The internship is UNPAID. All costs of travel and accommodation, including living expenses, must be covered by the intern or any relevant sponsoring institution.

- List the IT skills and programmes that you are proficient in.
- List your top three areas of interest.
