**This role requires excellence in cross-functional engagement, synthesizing field input from teams representing MuleSoft products, product marketing, solution engineering, sales, field CTOs, and other functional teams and roles. Reporting to the SVP of Sales, VP of Healthcare Strategy defines a vision for how HLS organizations can digitally transform through a composable, hyper-automated approach to business technology capabilities. This mission is accomplished through direct engagement with customers, thought leadership in the public domain, and through the enablement of peers within MuleSoft, Salesforce, and the partner community.**
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Represent MuleSoft HLS in high level meetings with C-level decision makers, often as an industry strategist and SME
- Help define, document and communicate MuleSoft HLS’s strategy and direction
- Partner with MuleSoft and Salesforce HLS field teams to bring this vision to life with their customers
- Be one of the public voices of MuleSoft HLS through published writing (blogs, whitepapers, third party publications) and public speaking (MuleSoft and Salesforce events, webinars, podcasts, third party conferences, customer briefings, etc.)
- Lead and mentor the global HLS community of field experts in composability and its associated domains (hyperautomation, API strategy and management, digital transformation, microservice architecture, DevOps, etc.), and tie these to industry trends such as distributed research and testing, patient experience transformation, claims processing, life sciences supply chains, CMS compliance, and more
- Lead working groups on key initiatives in areas such as product ideation, market research, and cross-functional field programs — including go-to-market plays for sales and solutions teams
- Identify opportunities for deeper partnerships with key industry players for joint solution-development and thought leadership
**Qualifications**:
- Ability to be a trusted advisor, driving conversations with CTOs/CIOs/CxOs, business stakeholders, analysts, etc.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through publications, public speaking, and exceptional communication skills
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in enterprise environments, especially those related to digital transformation, integration programs, API strategy, business process automation, and/or legacy modernization
- Ability to advise and mentor diverse teams using influence and adaptive communication strategies
- Comfortable multitasking across parallel work streams, juggling different roles and priorities in each
- A strong willingness and comfort in diving into new situations, learning about new industry trends, opportunities and technologies quickly, and debating different approaches and points of view with HLS leaders
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)
