**Job Description**:
**Context**:
The purpose of the Marketing BU is to sustainably maximize cash flows from the marketing of Anglo American products and services. In support of this, we have set ourselves a target to deliver a considerable uplift in Value by 2023.

The Base Metals Marketing teams is a critical and significant contributor to the Marketing EBIT target and this role is crucial in the delivery of the BM strategy.

To deliver the full benefits from an integrated planning and logistics process in a highly complex commercial environment, it is essential to define and manage the end-to-end interfaces across the business through a specialized multi-skilled operations team. All commercial and logistics processes, from mine to port logistics, need to be considered in this integrated holistic approach across all time horizons from strategic to operational.

The Group ISOP and Logistics function will enable the Marketing Business Unit to harness synergies and leading practice more effectively as well as improve operational performance across the wider group. It will result in an aligned strategy and an integrated view of the opportunities that are available to us globally, both in terms an operational and commercial basis.

**Purpose**:
The purpose of the ISOP Specialist is to manage the planning process for S&OP and S&OE together with downstream logistics in order to maximize business outcomes as well as support the Marketing Business Unit’s operational and business performance.

Maximize business outcomes by managing all relevant planning (at both Tactical and Strategical horizon), operational and logistics operations according to a defined set of policies and procedures, across the whole value chain from Mine to the Customer.

**Key Tasks**:
**S&OE**
- Develop the tactical plan (normally 12 weeks) in accordance with the ISOP policies and processes
- Develop and align the dispatch plan with the responsible areas at the operations, such as production, expedition, controlling and logistics
- Support and follow up all export, domestic sales as well as origination/third parties’ purchases/sales, processes, and procedures
- Control and provide key sales data for internal marketing reporting and provide data to financial area
- Lead KPI development and measures with production BU

**S&OP**
- Develop an accurate, timely, holistic medium term (4 months to 5 years) plan
- Support on the development of the broader, long term Marketing Strategy working closely with the Head of Sales

**Supply Planning**
- Support on the planning of third party sourcing needs
- Develop the plan for 3rd party sourcing for blending operations

**Road Transport Operations and Port Operations**
- Plan the allocation of production to customers.
- Collect and analyses in-port intelligence on competitors and shipments and provide advisory services to the marketing and/or trading teams through the tactical plan meetings.

**Inventory planning**
- Responsible for finished goods inventory planning as part of the S&OP and S&OE process, including the execution of stockpile replenishment orders.

**Stakeholder Management**
- Interact with the operation to assure that market aspects are considered for production planning purposes (maintenances, etc)
- Plan operational requirements of all road truck and port service providers.
- Handle all operational coordination of third-party sourced volumes prior to loading.

**Continuous Process Improvement**
- Continuous review of processes to identify opportunities that will help maximize value.
