About the job:
The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Senior Sales Account Manager to join us in Santiago, Chile. In this role, you will be responsible for leading revenue generating activities across the South Latin America (SoLA) region. To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be a results-oriented leader with an excellent customer, partner, and revenue oriented mindset and able to inspire confidence in others. You should be comfortable leading in a matrixed organization. You’ll manage your local custer and partner needs while working within Red Hat’s globally defined Commercial go-to-market strategy and operating model. You’ll be responsible for ensuring smooth and predictable sales delivery in your region, while also serving as a key point of contact for resolution between Enterprise and Commercial regional organizations.

As a Senior Sales Account Manager, your work will be critical to support the growth of Red Hat as a diverse, inclusive, and customer centric world-class leader in open source innovation. As a senior leader with Red Hat, you must be inspirational, and capable of contributing to the overall company strategy. You will report directly to the Geo Regional or Country Manager while dual solid line reporting to the Geo Commercial Sales Leader.

What you will do:

- Sell the complete Red Hat portfolio of solutions within an assigned territory of defined focus accounts and identify new customers
- Promote our Red Hat value proposition to prospective customers within a highly competitive market
- Build and maintain an extensive network in various industries and verticals
- Team up with Red Hat business partners in close collaboration with the Channel Sales team
- Build a pipeline within the territory together with the Territory Inside Sales team
- Generate a stream of short sales cycle business besides the focus account opportunities together with the Red Hat business partners
- Work with the Marketing team to generate leads and actively participate in marketing events
- Create and maintain territory account plans and report back to regional Red Hat management

What you will bring:

- 10+ years of experience selling complex IT solutions to larger organizations
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding targets and goals
- Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships at operations, engineering, software development, and executive levels throughout organizations
- Demonstrated market and competitive knowledge
- Proactive, practical approach toward products, markets, and customer business challenges
- Willingness to work in an open culture where meritocracy and accountability are important values
- Experience in an international software organization is a plus
