**About the Role**:
The Spence Upgrade Program (SCU) is essential for the success of Pampa Norte and Minerals Americas. This senior role is key for the successful delivery of the projects ensuring all interfaces with Operations, value/risk decision making, integration with projects and non-projects functions, collaborators, contractors and Owner Team Support teams in accordance with BHP Charter and MinAm Projects strategies.

This role is based in Santiago with permanent site travel to Spence and offers flexible work arrangements. In this role you will:

- Manage contracts execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure by rigorous risk mgt.
- Define project objectives/schedules, identifies critical activities, monitors the project plan/schedule and drives continuous improvement initiatives across projects at BHP.
- Integrate Project Functional Work Plans through excellence in stakeholders management.
- Risk manage, conduct risk assessments, complies with all 3Lines of Defense governance and assurance. Anticipate, identify and assess risks for informed decision making according to BHP's risk management framework.
- Develop and implements project turnover processes and executes commissioning/handover activities to facilitate the successful commissioning of equipment/projects across BHP.
- Explore and iteratively reassess the best fit for purpose solutions, taking ownership of project decisions and outcomes, managing risks and impacts to the value across the project lifecycle, social, environmental, and commercial.
- Engage, know, understand and build long-term relations with our customers and clients and be obsessed with meeting their needs.
- Lead the optimisation of Planning & Scheduling through the Work Management process to reduce waste and increase value adding work.

**About You**:

- Professional qualifications in projects, engineering or construction.
- Site operations exposure.
- Experience in projects development and delivery.
- Availability to travel to site.
- English and Spanish written and spoken.
